Summer is here and most schools are almost over. What are kids doing for summer? Do they relax and enjoy the day at home or do they go to camps? What kind of camps do they go to?
Sports camps, overnight camps, science camps, math camps, technology camps? There are just so many options, but the crazy thing is most of these camps get filled by the time summer starts. I have learned that to get into good camps, you almost always have to book in the spring, mostly end of January or February.
Here is a list of softball camps if you are still looking for some ideas. We have personally used Cutting Edge softball camps. Their website is not the greatest to sign up online, but their camps are pretty good. We used them because they were the closest to where we could easily drop them and pick them up. We have done 2 or 3 years of these camps.
One of my daughters also has gone to the Stanford softball camp. Please read my in-depth review of Stanford softball camp here.
I also got a few good info from folks who visit Discuss Fastpitch softball forum. As I find more, I will keep adding to the list. If you know of more softball summer camps, please let me know so we can build this list. Thanks. In the meantime, if you are still looking for summer camp for your kids, please check these camps out.
NOTE: As with any camp, I urge parents to thoroughly investigate the camp and the instructors and employees who work at any camp you are interested in to make sure if it is the correct fit for the kids and if they have the license and background check to organize camps and teach and interact with children. I add camps here as I hear about them or if the camps contact me to be listed here.
